The simple carbohydrates include granulated (table) sugar and brown sugar from sugar cane, sugar beets, syrups, and sugar that occur naturally in fruits, vegetables and milk.

  • A can of Coke (7.5 fl oz.) has 90 calories but provides 0 grams of protein and 0 milligrams of potassium.
  • Alcohol such as beer (1 can or 356 grams) contained 154 calories. The nutritional values have 0 percent Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Iron. It only contains 1 percent Calcium, and Vitamin B-12.
