How to build bigger muscles

arms-and-abs.gifAre you tired of being the guy that has always been skinny and lanky?  If you would like to build bigger muscles it will take a good exercise and diet plan.   You don’t have to run to the nearest GNC to stock up on the latest supplements.  You can gain lean hard muscle naturally simply with regular food.   If your goal is to add about 15-20 pounds of lean muscle without using steroids or other supplements take a look at these muscle building tips.

 Increase your calorie intake

You have to intake more calories daily to gain weight.  If you are eating 1500 calories a day, you should start eating 1600-1700.  Eating more does not mean eating a bunch of junk food.  Make sure you eat lots of lean meat, protein, beans, fish, and other high calorie low-fat dishes.

Make sure you eat after a good working out

You should make sure you replace your carbohydrates with fruit or other carbs.  It is best to plan your workout near one of our meals so you can properly feed your growing muscles.  Try to eat a full meal within 30 minutes to fuel those muscles.

Your exercise routine should break the muscle down to build it bigger and stronger

I suggest 6-10 reps at least 3 exercises for each muscle group.    Don’t lift too heavy being hurt does you no good.  Do the same routine for about a month then make variations to shock the muscles.  The key is to get stronger as you go so push yourself without hurting yourself.

Don’t neglect your legs

You must make legs a priority if you want the rest of your body to grow properly.  If legs is not in your program add them immediately.

The more cardiovascular exercises you do the more calories you need to make up the difference

If you do too much cardiovascular without replacing the calories it can hurt your weight gain.   Make sure you are replacing the calories you burn from your cardiovascular exercises.  Tip:  Don’t neglect doing cardiovascular exercise not only is it good for your heart but it will keep you cut.
